On Thursday (March 7), pop singer/songwriter Ava Max launched her newest single “So Am I.” The 25-year-old artist from Virginia, who now calls Los Angeles house, had early success along with her breakout monitor “Sweet But Psycho,” which simply went prime 10 on Billboard's Pop Songs airplay chart this week.
The new tune is a bouncy, pop-heavy anthem that exhibits f her melodies and storytelling. An accompanying video was launched concurrently, the place Max is seen strolling by a highschool hallway and dancing within the cafeteria.
The refrain sends a powerful message about navigating your adolescent years, with lyrics like "Do you ever really feel like a misfit?/ Everything inside you is darkish and twisted/ Oh, but it surely's OK to be totally different/ 'Cause child so am I.”
Max says her new tune “is about loving your self, being totally different, being an outcast and never becoming within the format that society needs to place us in.”
