Taylor Swift to Reveal ‘Lover’ Lyrics Through Spotify ‘Love, Taylor’ Playlist

The special playlist will also contain a video message from Taylor, a handwritten note and four pre-released “Lover” tracks.

Swifties will have a lot to celebrate on Tuesday morning (Aug. 20) when Spotify launches "Love, Taylor: The Lover Enhanced Album," packed with all kinds exclusive goodies. The playlist will serve as the "ultimate destination for all Taylor Swift fans to celebrate" the launch the Lover album (Aug. 23), according to a release announcing the curated collection Swift material only available on Spotify.

Before Friday's release, Swift will reveal never-before-seen or heard lyrics to songs from the album every day in the playlist through an "audio message love letter" that will give Swifties a sneak peek at the singer's seventh full-length release. The reveals will begin at 9 a.m. EST on Tuesday, when Taylor will post a new lyric reveal in the playlist and Spotify says it will bring the words to life "love letters" from the singer that will show up in surprise locations all around the world. 

"I can't talk to you when you're like this/ Staring out the window like I'm not you're favorite town/ I'm New York City," Swift reads in the first lyric reveal.

The playlist has a video message from the singer explaining the concept, as well as a handwritten note created in Spotify's Canvas tool and the four Lover songs released so far: "ME!," "You Need to Calm Down," "The Archer" and "Lover" as well as 11 Taylor's favorite love songs. After Lover's release, the playlist will have all 18 the album's songs, messages to fans from Taylor, the stories behind the songs and other exclusive treats.
