“Crave,” the de facto pop radio single and third song released from Madonna's forthcoming album Madame X, is part a multi-track pre-album rollout ahead the album's June 14 release. She previously released the inspirational number “I Rise” as well as midtempo Latin pop anthem “Medellín,” with Colombian heartthrob Maluma, and "Future," featuring Quavo, last week.
The "Crave" teaser video showcases strobing black-and-white flashes light as Madonna narrorates, "I'm waiting for you, I have always been waiting for you… I'm attracted to danger, I crave it." The pop superstar captioned the teaser video, "Crave drops tomorrow… Stay tuned for more from Madame #crave @swaelee @nunoxico."

Madame X will be the singer’s first album release since her 2015 project Rebel Heart.
During an interview with Billboard's senior director charts Keith Caulfield at the Billboard Music Awards (watch below), Madonna discussed "Crave" and working with Swae Lee. "I think he's really talented," she said. "I think he's a very good writer, I think he's a great singer, and he's so cute." When asked about the specific decision to choose Swae Lee for the track, Madonna said, "I thought I need to sing with a man on this song because it's a song about desire, and longing… I liked the tone his voice, so I asked him to be on it with me."
