Avril Lavigne Captivates with Emotional ‘Head Above Water’ on ‘Tonight Show’: Watch

She described to Billboard final October why she wrote the song. “This track is a track that’s very private and near me as a result of I clearly simply took 5 years away from the highlight, three these years being battling and combating Lyme Disease,” she defined. “I used to be capable of write songs from my mattress and ‘Head Above Water’ is a track that I wrote an evening that I felt like I used to be truly dying and had form accepting it.”
