After the show, Cara took to social media to thank her fellow Canadian pop star for the chance to perform alongside him on 70-plus concert dates.
"There are good people, and then there are people who, if you could see into their core, have a million little particles benevolence floating around in there. That is @shawnmendes," she tweeted alongside a photo her with Mendes.
"His heart is as potent as his ambition and I learned so much from him these last few months, both on and f stage. Tonight we played our 76th and final show the SM tour (we took this pic show 1!!) and I feel so grateful."
Earlier this year, Mendes enlisted Cara as an opener his U.S. and European Shawn Mendes: The Tour. The 21-year-old's 95-show trek launched March 7 in Amsterdam.
Cara added in her tweet that it's not easy performing for another artist's fans, but that Mendes' audience "welcomed my band and I with open arms and genuine love. Performing for fans other than your own can be scary, but you all made it feel like home. Won't forget this one ever ever ever."
